Job Summary
Provide person-centred psychosocial support to assist the participant to live as independently as possible, build confidence within the community and achieve personal goals. Work alongside the participant, family and broader support network to deliver stable, long-term support across emotional/mental health support, daily living tasks, and community access. Responsibilities include trauma-informed care, de-escalation, monitoring early warning signs of mental health decline, meal planning and preparation, budgeting and financial tasks, medication prompting, attending appointments, supporting social participation, and building routines to promote independence and wellbeing. Desirable qualifications include Certificate III or IV in relevant fields, trauma-informed care training, Mental Health First Aid, and experience with psychosocial disabilities; required checks and licenses include NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid/CPR, Police Check, and Working rights in Australia. This role emphasizes consistency, empathy, professional boundaries, and collaboration with family, clinicians and support networks, with in-person, on-site engagement in Woy Woy, NSW.
