Job Summary
The role involves supporting young adults with autism and learning disabilities, implementing person-centred programmes using ABA and PBS, teaching functional skills, monitoring daily data, assisting with self-help skills, and promoting safeguarding. Candidates must have 2 years of applied experience, experience with non-verbal individuals, and crisis management skills. Full training and support will be provided, including opportunities for professional accreditation and various employee benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of applied experience working with individuals with a diagnosis of learning disability and/or autism
- Experience of supporting individuals who are non-verbal, with experience of promoting alternative modes of communication.
- Experience of supporting individuals through periods of dysregulation, including episodes of behaviours of concern.
Desired Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or related field
- Clean drivers' licence
- 3 years of applied experience working with individuals with a diagnosis of learning disability and/or autism
- Registered Behaviour Technician - or working towards
- Experience utilising ABA methodology
