Job Summary
Behaviour Strategist (Early Intervention) provides developmental and behavioural assessments, translates findings into practical classroom-based strategies, and coaches educators and families within inclusive early learning environments. The role involves multidisciplinary collaboration, developing individualized programming, monitoring progress, and preparing program records aligned with Alberta Education and program requirements. It is based in Fueling Brains Academy locations in Calgary and Strathmore, Alberta, with travel between campuses; offers flexible structures including 0.5 FTE or blended opportunities and in-person work within an active, hands-on environment.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Psychology (School, Clinical, Educational Psychology, or related field)
- Professional Registration: Registered Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) OR Eligible Psychological Practitioner with relevant graduate training
- Experience: Experience working with early childhood or pediatric populations strongly preferred; Experience assessing developmental, behavioural, and social-emotional needs; Experience working within educational, early intervention, or multidisciplinary settings is an asset
- Key Skills: Strong understanding of child development, neurodevelopment, and early intervention practices; Ability to translate clinical findings into practical, classroom-based strategies; Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; Strong consultation and coaching abilities; Collaborative mindset with a team-oriented approach; Strong documentation, reporting, and organizational skills; Passion for early childhood development and family-centred practice
