Job Summary
Behaviour Interventionist role in Calgary area focused on implementing programs designed by a senior clinical team to support skill acquisition and reduce maladaptive behaviors in children and youth. You will work 1:1 and in small groups within an interdisciplinary team, delivering programs based on best practices, using systematic behavioral strategies, and adapting to changing conditions. Responsibilities include creating a positive, engaging environment, assisting with activities of daily living (dressing, toileting, eating), ensuring safety and well-being, and adhering to clinical training and protocols. Preferred candidates have 1-2 years of relevant experience, pursuing or having completed education in psychology, speech/linguistics, occupational therapy, or kinesiology, and hold a valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle. The role is community-based with evening shifts and requires eligibility to work in Canada; LMIA or independent contractor setup is not offered. Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience working with children and youth with complex needs and/or developmental disabilities
- Pursuing or completed education in Psychology, Speech or linguistics, occupational therapy or kinesiology
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 6 months
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- A valid driver's license (Class 5) and reliable vehicle for daily use
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
