Job Summary
Behaviour Consultants will work directly with parents/caregivers and children/youth aged 6-18 who have Autism, neurodiversity, developmental delays, or related support needs to assess and address challenging behaviours and build requisite skills. Responsibilities include direct counselling/education/training and support; conducting Comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments and Functional Behaviour Analyses to identify behaviours and skill gaps; developing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans; training and supporting Behaviour Interventionists and families in PBSP implementation; supporting development in daily living activities and social-emotional/communication/mental health areas; updating PBSPs as needed; collaborating with Keyworkers, Behaviour Interventionists, Child and Youth Care Workers and other FCC providers; and maintaining clinical records. Preferred education includes a Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis or MEd in Special Education, or a related bachelor’s degree with relevant experience. Requires a valid BC driver’s license, regional insurance, reliable vehicle, and successful criminal record screening. Wage: $45.60-$47.20 per hour, with full-time benefits after probation.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred in Applied Behaviour Analysis or MEd in Special Education; Bachelor’s degree in ABA or related field with relevant experience; valid BC Driver's License; criminal record check; experience with Autism/neurodiversity/CBSN/child & youth support needs preferred
