Job Summary
Behavioral Technician provides non-physical emotional and behavioral support to children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center; follows Individual Support Plans; conducts Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) assessments; uses redirection strategies to manage behavioral concerns; submits visit notes promptly following each session; responds to crises using de-escalation and safety strategies; engages clients in interest-based activities to support growth and awareness; participates in case reviews, team meetings, and required trainings; adheres to agency protocols and professional guidelines; role is part-time with 5–20 hours per week, with 2–4 hour evening shifts; requires NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months and pursuit of RBT Certification within 6 months; requires valid NJ driver's license; bilingual Spanish encouraged; no visa sponsorship available.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role.

- If a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), you must at least have one year (1) of supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities; OR
- If you have a Bachelor’s degree in behavior analysis, psychology, special education, guidance and counseling, or social work, you must at least have one year (1) of supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities; OR
- If with a High School Diploma or GED, you must at least have three (3) years of supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individuals
