Job Summary
Behavioral Technician providing non-physical, emotional, and behavioral support to children with developmental/intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center settings in Sussex County, NJ. Responsibilities include implementing Individual Support Plans, conducting ADLs assessments, using redirection to manage behavioral concerns, submitting visit notes, responding to crises with de-escalation and safety strategies, engaging clients in activities to promote growth and awareness, attending case reviews and trainings, and adhering to agency protocols. Required qualifications emphasize certification pathways (NJ CSOC, RBT BACB) and licensure elements (NJ driver’s license, background checks). Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates encouraged. The role supports a flexible schedule mostly 2–4 hour evening shifts, with 5–20 hours per week, and offers a sign-on bonus and full-time benefits package including PTO, health coverage, disability, life insurance, 401K, and ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role.
