Job Summary
Provide non-physical emotional and behavioral support to children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center. Roles typically involve 5–20 hours per week with 2–4 hour evening shifts. Responsibilities include implementing each child’s Individual Support Plan, conducting Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) assessments, using redirection strategies to address behavioral concerns, submitting visit notes, responding to crises with de-escalation and safety strategies, engaging clients in interest-based activities, and attending case reviews and required trainings while following agency protocols and professional guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must complete NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen required
- Spanish-speaking candidates encouraged to apply
- Pathways for Qualification Based on New Jersey Guidelines: 1 year supervised experience with RBT/BACB OR 1 year supervised experience with a Bachelor's in related field OR 3 years supervised experience with HS Diploma/GED
