Job Summary
Behavioral Technician to provide non-physical, emotional, and behavioral support to children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, or in-center settings in Essex County, NJ. Roles include implementing Individual Support Plans, conducting functional assessments (ADLs), using redirection strategies, submitting visit notes, responding to crises with de-escalation, engaging clients in activities to support growth, attending case reviews and trainings, and following agency protocols. Requires NJ-based eligibility to work in the U.S.; certification progression within 6 months (NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification; RBT pathway options with supervised experience); bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates encouraged. Typical schedule ranges from 5–20 hours per week with 2–4 hour evening shifts; sign-on bonus of $300. Benefits include PTO/Sick Time, health coverage options, and ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) pathway options with supervised experience requirements
- High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of supervised experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of supervised experience OR BACB guidelines for RBT
