Job Summary
Conduct one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy sessions with early learners and young adults with autism in home or community settings. Implement individualized treatment plans for children ages 2 to 21 using discrete trials, natural environment teaching, and reinforcement methods. Collect behavior and skill acquisition data daily and enter it into the EMR. Collaborate with BCBA supervisors to maintain professional boundaries, resolve conflicts, and receive minimum 5% supervision. Maintain open communication with clinical teams and families while ensuring BACB ethical compliance. Requires RBT certification, high school diploma, reliable transportation, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Full training provided for new candidates.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or College Degree
- RBT 40-hour training
- Must have a reliable car and driver's license
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Able to perform activities that require fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sit on floor level or in a chair, or stand for periods of time while working with clients
- Able to respond quickly over short distances (100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of clients
- Able and willing to work in both indoor and outdoor settings
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Willing to have background check completed
- Must perform your role with the utmost integrity and professionalism
- Able to effectively resolve conflicts and challenging situations smoothly
- Maintain proactive communication with supervisor for feedback and guidance
- Receive Supervision from a BCBA at a minimum of 5% of services provided
- Maintain BACB Ethical Compliance Code for RBTs
- Maintain professional boundaries around all clients and families
Desired Qualifications
- One year experience as an ABA therapist or 1 year working with children with disabilities/autism
- Knowledge of Autism and related behavioral interventions
- Positive attitude
- Passion for helping individuals with autism
- Committed to delivering evidence-based interventions, such as Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions (NDBIs)
