Behavioral Technician (Bergen County) – $300 Sign-on Bonus

Job Summary
Provide non-physical, emotional, and behavioral support to children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center. Duties include implementing Individual Support Plans, conducting functional assessments including ADLs, using redirection strategies for behavioral concerns, submitting visit notes per guidelines, responding to crises with de-escalation and safety strategies, engaging clients in activities to support growth, attending case reviews and trainings, and following agency protocols. Must have strong listening and communication skills, empathy, organizational ability, and the capacity to work independently or collaboratively; bilingual Spanish speakers encouraged. This role requires authorization to work in the U.S. with no visa sponsorship and adherence to NJ-specific qualification requirements; sign-on bonuses may apply as noted in benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen required
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) encouraged
- Pathways for Qualification based on NJ guidelines (RBT with supervision; degree in related field with supervision; HS diploma+supervised experience)
