Job Summary

Prepare for each session by charging equipment and reviewing clinical updates. Accurately report time and gather signatures verifying session occurrence. Implement program activities determined by supervisors, including appropriate stimuli, reinforcement, and materials. Capture quantitative and qualitative data during every individualized interaction using trained methods such as discrete trial or naturalistic teaching. Attend scheduled patient sessions and team meetings while adhering to ethics, HIPAA, and workplace safety protocols. Maintain a positive environment through prompting and redirection, communicating proactively to resolve conflicts. Obtain Board Certified Autism Technician certification within 90 days and complete mandatory competency training.

Required Qualifications

  • 18 year of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Attain Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) certification within first 90 days of employ with BIA (mandatory for continued employment)
  • Attend mandatory trainings which will include Behavior Technician continuing education requirements (i.e., attaining CEs maintaining documentation)
  • Completed 40-hours of Competency Based Training designed by a BIA BCBA
