Job Summary
RBT Academy role in Oahu: Start as a Behavior Technician Trainee and become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through BAYADA’s program. Work with students with Autism/IDD in school-based settings, following service plans, collecting behavior data, implementing behavior therapy techniques, and collaborating with teachers to support skill development and independence. Training includes BAYADA University web courses, hands-on observation, study guides, and preparation for the RBT exam; role involves documentation, client engagement, and supporting classroom routines under supervision, with competitive benefits and a structured work schedule (Mon-Fri, various daytime hours) at Waipio location.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree OR 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100 OR a High School Diploma/GED with Passage of the ParaPro Praxis assessment (BAYADA assistance available)
- No experience necessary
- Complete RBT Academy and pass the RBT Exam to become an RBT with BAYADA!
- RBT certification / registration with BACB (implied by program)
