Job Summary
The Behavioral Specialist plays a critical role in supporting an inclusive environment for children diagnosed with disabilities and those needing social and emotional support. Responsibilities include implementing strategies for engagement, collaborating with educators and parents, and adapting classroom activities to meet individual child needs. Applicants are preferred to have an Associate's degree in Child Development or equivalent experience in early childhood education. Essential skills include the ability to communicate effectively, manage participant behavior, and foster positive relationships within the educational setting.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Arts in Child Development Preferred
- Minimum of 18 hours of early childhood education
- Para-Professional Certification or ECE Level 2
- Ability to observe participant behavior and apply behavior management techniques
- Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal communication skills

- Prior experience working with children
