Job Summary
Behavioral Specialist provides cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other therapeutic services to patients in Rogers Behavioral Health programs. Responsibilities include assessing behavior function, developing and implementing individualized CBT treatment plans, delivering group and individual therapy, training and educating patients and support persons, collaborating within an interdisciplinary team, monitoring outcomes, documenting services in the medical record, and ensuring compliance with RCC/CBRF requirements. The role involves supervision with a Clinical leader, regular progress communications, supervising and training direct care staff in CBT interventions, and providing parent/support person guidance on reinforcing CBT strategies. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, CBT experience (12 months preferred), a Counselor-in-Training credential or state equivalent for Addiction Recovery programs, a valid driver’s license (Residential programs), CPR certification within 30 days, NCI training within 60 days, and completed RCC/CBRF trainings within 90 days. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required (human services, psychology, social work, or related field)
- valid Substance Abuse Counselor-in-Training credential (or state equivalent) if working in an Addiction Recovery program that requires this
- Relevant Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment (CBT) experience (12 months preferred)
- Current driver's license (preferred for Residential Inpatient programs)
- CPR certification within 30 days of hire; re-certification bi-annual
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training within 60 days of hire; annual re-certification
- CBRF trainings within 90 days of hire
