Job Summary
Behavioral Specialist for Nassau County School District to assist Executive Director of Exceptional Student Education and Student Services in eligibility and placement staffings, develop, implement and monitor behavior plans, and provide technical assistance on ESE procedures; conduct psycho-educational evaluations; review IEPs and staffing materials; collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators; apply knowledge of state/federal policies and regulations related to behavior analysis; contribute to staff development and program planning; maintain records and ensure confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- (1) Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited educational institution.
- (2) Hold or be eligible for certification by the State of Florida in at least one area in Exceptional Education and/or School Psychology.
- (3) Certified Behavior Analyst or currently pursuing educational coursework to fulfill certification requirements.
- (4) Successful experience as a behavioral specialist and/or school psychologist preferred.
