Job Summary

Responsible for the direct supervision of all children assigned to the supervisor, implementing and maintaining standards of institutional care, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver treatment as designated by Hillside and the State of Georgia. Duties include developing and communicating the philosophy and operation of the treatment program, actively supervising children, coordinating with dietary personnel to ensure proper meals and health standards, monitoring health, hygiene, and safety, teaching living and social skills, and possibly restraining a child when necessary. The role requires collaboration with families, caseworkers, and school counselors to coordinate care, documentation of progress and incidents, adherence to licensing regulations, and participation in mandatory trainings (including DBT-related training) to support quality services for children and youth. The position emphasizes safety, professional development, and leadership within the child/youth development field, with a work schedule of 40-44 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in a discipline related to client and adolescent mental health
  • Be trained and/or certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Be trained in the HELP program and techniques
  • Be able to use the techniques safely and effectively
  • Must have a current valid State of Georgia license
  • References and documentation requirements as per Hillside policies
