Job Summary
Provide safety observation of patients assigned to ensure they do not harm themselves or others. Maintain a safe environment and interact with patients, families, and staff in a caring professional manner. Perform activities of daily living as needed (bathing, feeding, toileting, ambulating, turning, and repositioning). Report any changes in patient condition to the nurse immediately and document patient status every 15 minutes. Requires ability to de-escalate and maintain a therapeutic environment; maintain wakefulness during shifts; participate in competency validations and mandatory in-services. Minimum 1 year of relevant patient-care experience; GED or HiSET required; Basic Life Support and de-escalation training required. Preferred 2 years of behavioral health experience.
