Job Summary
Behavioral Rehabilitation Specialist will provide 1:1 skill-building and interventions to at-risk youth in home and community settings using a psycho-educational approach alongside behavior modification and insight-oriented counseling. Responsibilities include teaching basic living and social skills, documenting client interactions with clear notes, attending monthly supervision, and potentially after-hours crisis intervention. The role requires trauma-informed practice, proficiency with clinical terminology and relevant software, and the ability to engage with families. Candidates must undergo FBI/Adam Walsh/CANS background checks, have a Nevada driver’s license and reliable vehicle, be 25+ years old, and be available evenings and weekends. Education of an associate degree or bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience working with children is required, with preferred experience in Social Services or ABA/RBT backgrounds and HIPAA familiarity.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience working with children
- Must pass FBI/Adam Walsh background check and CANS assessment through Department of Family Services
- Nevada driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Age 25 or older
- Ability to work evenings (2 PM to 10:30 PM) and weekends (6 AM to 2:30 PM and 2 PM to 10:30 PM)
- Proficient in clinical terminology and clear note-writing
- Proficient knowledge of relevant software
- Background checks and fingerprinting costs borne by applicant
- Post-employment required trainings (TB, CPR, internal testing)
- Education in Psychology, Social Work, Anthropology, Sociology, Human Development and Family Studies, Nursing, Public Health, Education, Criminal Justice, or related fields
- Preferred: ABA/RBT background, HIPAA familiarity
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, handle crises
- Must have reliable transportation and auto insurance in name or via designated driver
