Job Summary
Behavioral Program Manager needed to lead the implementation, execution, and ongoing performance of state-supported behavioral health programs across long-term care facilities. Responsibilities include directing statewide and facility-level program adoption, coordinating trainings and resources, conducting on-site visits, reviewing census and performance data, facilitating meetings, supervising Behavior Coordinators, and ensuring compliance with program protocols. Requires hands-on operational leadership, ability to partner with clinical leadership, and capability to drive scalable process improvements and measurable patient outcomes. Travel to assigned facilities is required. Strong supervisory, coaching, and communication skills, plus experience with behavioral health workflows and regulatory standards, are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in behavioral health, long-term care, healthcare operations, or program management
- Experience leading programs across multiple facilities, regions, or markets
- 3-5 years supervisory or team leadership experience required
- Experience coordinating with multiple teams or clinicians preferred
- Experience developing training resources, workflows, operational tools, or process improvement materials preferred
- Strong understanding of behavioral health, clinical workflows, or regulatory standards in post-acute or long-term care settings
- Ability to lead, supervise, coach, and hold assigned team members accountable for performance and consistent execution
- Proven ability to influence facility leadership, drive adoption, and support process change across multiple sites
- Strong analytical skills with experience reviewing trends, metrics, documentation, and operational performance data
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, conflict-resolution, and training skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify barriers and implement sustainable solutions
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Proficiency with EHR systems, Microsoft Office, and other communication or workflow tools
- Ability to travel regularly across assigned facilities
