Job Summary
Behavioral Interventional Specialist to conduct behavioral assessments and interventions for individuals with developmental disabilities across residential group homes and day programs in NYC; develop evidence-based behavior support plans, coordinate with residential/day habilitative teams, ensure proper approvals and documentation, and provide clinical supervision and trainings. Requires a Master's degree in a related field and BCBA certification (or equivalent) with experience in developmental disabilities, dual diagnosis, and data-driven progress monitoring; role includes both onsite and remote responsibilities with potential full- or part-time schedules and evening hours.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or a national board certification in behavior analysis (BCBA) and a master’s degree in Behavior Analysis, or a field closely related to clinical or community psychology is required.
- Training in assessment techniques is required.
- Experience working with persons with developmental disabilities with dual diagnosis, preferably in residential, and/or day habilitation settings is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated effective clinical leadership skills required.
- Experience giving and receiving feedback required.
- Experience conducting clinically focused training required.
- Ability to generate and maintain clinical documentation across multiple electronic platforms required.
- Ability to travel to and work onsite at assigned programs required.
- Availability to work afternoons/evenings (2:00pm – 8:00pm) at least one day onsite per program.
