Job Summary
Behavioral Intervention Specialist I position at WellLife Network in New York. Works with the Interdisciplinary Team to assess behavioral needs and implement behavioral programs to decrease maladaptive behaviors and increase positive replacement behaviors. Provides individual and group interventions (e.g., ABA, coping skills) and maintains written progress notes; conducts formal and informal assessments; develops behavior support plans and monitoring plans; trains staff; collaborates with psychiatrists on medication management; travels to multiple sites as needed; requires a Master’s degree and at least 5 years’ experience with developmental disabilities; valid driver’s license preferred.
Required Qualifications
- A Master’s degree from a program in a clinical and/or treatment field of psychology
- documented training in the assessment techniques and behavioral support plan development
- at least 5 years' experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including the devising, implementation, and monitoring of behavioral support plans
- valid driver’s license and/or access to a vehicle (highly preferred)
