Job Summary
Behavioral Intervention Specialist responsible for creating and delivering personalized behavioral support and intervention plans to address behavioral, emotional, and psychological needs. Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, implement evidence-based interventions, monitor progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Provide counseling, guidance, and education to individuals, families, and staff to ensure high-quality clinical services. Travel to program sites for meetings and client visits is required. Key skills include assessment, treatment planning, de-escalation, interpersonal communication, data collection, documentation, and staying current with research and best practices in developmental disorders and dual diagnoses. The role emphasizes adherence to Ethical guidelines, confidentiality, and the Behavioral Mental Health Model/Positive Behavioral Support and Gentle Teaching philosophies. On-site support may be provided as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of developmental disorders, mental health conditions, behavioral management techniques, and therapeutic strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, emotional intelligence, and organizational abilities.
