Job Summary
Behavioral Intervention Assistant provides clinical support in center-based day habilitation, responds to behavioral emergencies with crisis intervention and SCIP maneuvers, participates in functional behavioral analysis to enhance adaptive skills, helps develop and implement individualized behavioral support programs (IBSP), and conducts 1:1 clinical supervision, data coordination, and reviews/prepares behavioral assessments for clinical meetings. The role supports psychology-related topics, ensures necessary materials for behavioral programs, and assists with staff training while adhering to SCIP and CPR training requirements; employment is with ACLD in Nassau/Suffolk with a Monday–Friday schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and five (5) years related experience or Associates Degree with three (3) years related experience or Bachelor 3s Degree with two (2) years related experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Must be able to complete required training for SCIP (Strategic Crisis Intervention & Prevention) and CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation))
- Clean valid NYS driver 2s license.
