Behavioral Instructor (Multiple Shifts)

Job Summary
Behavioral Instructors assist clients in learning social skills, improved school behaviors, and coping skills using the Teaching Family Model procedures. They implement behavior interventions, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate effectively with supervisors and treatment teams. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, have a college degree or significant college coursework, possess the ability to manage physical demands associated with crisis intervention, and be able to lift 50 pounds. Ongoing training in de-escalation techniques and safety policies is provided.
Required Qualifications
- At least twenty-one (21) years of age and has a college degree or at least 60 hours towards completion of college degree.
- Ability to document accurately and professionally.
- Possesses the ability to understand and implement extensive training and to apply that training to the implementation of a comprehensive program of care for patients.
- Ability to perform physical demands required by Crisis Prevention Intervention Training.
- Must be physically able to lift 50 pounds and hold for one minute.
- Must be physically capable to receive verbal and written directions.
- Must have good auditory, visual and olfactory ability.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with “at-risk” youth or other populations with special needs preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 pursuant to CMS regulation 86 FR 61555, with exceptions only as required by law.
- Flu shot is mandatory and required for all positions (subject to qualified exemptions).
