Job Summary
The Behavioral Instructor position involves providing academic assistance and monitoring patient activities in collaboration with Education Instructors. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, compliance with health standards, and development of structured activity schedules. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, with a minimum of 60 college hours or significant mental health experience. The role requires effective documentation, physical capability for crisis intervention, and a valid driver's license. Training in Crisis Prevention Intervention, CPR, and First Aid is also essential.
Required Qualifications
- At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- A minimum of 60 college hours required or at least 10 years of verifiable continuous mental health experience with no more than two employers.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Arkansas Driver’s License.
- Must be insurable to drive MFH vehicles.
- Must be physically capable to receive verbal and written directions.
- Must be physically able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be physically able to lift 50 pounds and hold for one minute.
- Must remain current in Crisis Prevention Intervention Training, CPR, and First Aid.
- Must be willing and able to work with all patients of Methodist Family Health, regardless of gender.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with 'at-risk' youth or other populations with special needs preferred.
- Ability to document accurately and professionally.
- Self-motivated with the aptitude to work in a high-stress fast-paced position with minimal supervision.
