Job Summary
Manage, communicate, and monitor contract terms for Medicaid, Medicare, Managed Care, and Commercial lines. Negotiate insurance contracts and pursue additional patient coverage opportunities, including single case agreements. Develop resource materials on reimbursement strategies and analyze payment trends with the RCM Leadership Team. Work as a liaison between managed care plans and the agency to follow up on Explanation of Benefits issues. Initiate and update credentialing for all plans while maintaining ETINS, MMIS, and fee schedule databases. Report to the Chief Revenue Officer and support other departments as directed. Full-time role with a sign-on incentive up to $1,500.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Business Administration or related field
- Valid NYS Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
- Three years experience in healthcare, managed care and healthcare contract negotiations
- Prior experience working with all levels of organization, including senior management and physicians
- Strong project management, leadership, quantitative and analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Capable of working toward specific strategic objectives and managing deadlines
- Exceptional IT skills with knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office products
- Must possess negotiation skills
- Knowledge and experience with payor contracts relevant to multiple health program service types
- Contract reimbursement strategy
- Communication with provider representative and NY State agencies
- Experience with all aspects of behavioral health contracting with NY State Medicaid, Medicare, Managed Care and Commercial lines of business
