Job Summary
RN with mental health/substance abuse experience to perform utilization review and certify treatment for confinement under health plans, URAC guidelines, and disability/worker's compensation regulations. Remote setup with 50% work-from-home after training; Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM; no nights, weekends, or holidays. Responsibilities include first-level clinical reviews, assessment of patient status, discharge planning, and documentation; interface with case managers and disease management nurses; requires ability to determine when second-level review is needed and to refer when appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with valid, unrestricted, current nursing license in the state or territory of the United States where employed
- Mental Health or Substance Abuse experience
- UR nurse orientation program completed
- Minimum of 3 years recent acute clinical practice; 5 years preferred
