Job Summary
Prepare, facilitate, monitor, evaluate, and document training activities for direct support staff company-wide. Assess training needs for new and existing employees, identify internal and external programs to address competency gaps, and organize training to meet specific requirements. Liaise with subject matter experts on instructional design, develop training aids, and map out individual training plans. Facilitate learning through classroom instruction, virtual training, and on-the-job coaching while designing assessment tools to measure effectiveness. Track outcomes, maintain records, handle logistics for venues and equipment, and manage the training budget. Establish relationships with external suppliers and keep current on design methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- bachelors degree in a related field
- experience with instruction or training
- knowledge of adult instructional and learning theory and principles
- knowledge of instructional design
- knowledge of training methodologies
- knowledge of learning management systems
- knowledge of competency assessment
Desired Qualifications
- certification such as ASTD (American Society for Training and Development) a recommendation
