Job Summary
The Therapist will provide quality individual and group therapies on the Behavioral Health unit and oversee case management services using professional standards and licensure requirements. Responsibilities include assisting with patient intake, coordinating families and discharge placement, coordinating immediate aftercare services, and guiding placement decisions within the care team. Core competencies include assessment, planning and documenting patient care, delivering mental health care, teaching/education, leadership and supervision of staff, and adherence to human resources procedures. The role emphasizes leadership within the team, adaptability to changing physician demands, and the ability to delegate and coordinate interdisciplinary care while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work
- Previous healthcare experience as a Bachelor’s Level Therapist in a behavioral health setting
- Completion of hospital and unit orientation period to act as a team leader
