Job Summary
Behavioral Health Therapist (Licensed) for Arlington County’s Forensic Jail Diversion Team. Provide mental health treatment services as part of the Jail Diversion/Forensic Case Management Program and maneuver between the court and community mental health. Court attendance is mandatory and the role supports restorative justice by diverting seriously mentally ill and co-occurring individuals from the criminal justice system at initial junctures such as magistrate, bond, and court hearings.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist
- Court attendance required
- Ability to navigate between court and community mental health
- Experience in Jail Diversion or Forensic Case Management preferred
- Co-occurring disorders experience may be beneficial
