Job Summary
Conduct initial assessments and administer standardized screening tools to diagnose and treat patients across diverse caseloads including children, adults, couples, and families. Implement evidence-based interventions, develop individualized treatment plans, and engage in culturally competent, trauma-informed psychotherapy while evaluating patient risk levels. Coordinate care by making essential referrals to community resources, supporting warm handoffs, and providing crisis intervention or emotional stabilization when identified. Document all encounters within the Electronic Health Record per compliance requirements and participate in continuous quality improvement activities such as peer review and case conferencing. Maintain caseloads and meet department productivity standards while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold current license or registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, ACSW, APCC, AMFT)
- Reliable Transportation
- Ability to adhere to regular attendance
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing no more than 25 pounds
- Ability to access files/stock supplies in low cabinets and shelves
- Ability to input information into computer systems
- Ability to retrieve and work with appropriate paperwork, equipment, and supplies
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, Board members, members of outside agencies, in person, by telephone, and by email
- Ability to effectively use a computer screen and interpret printed materials, memos, and other appropriate paperwork
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with crisis counseling and working with adults, children and families in an outpatient setting
- Has demonstrated the ability to work with diverse populations (experience working with Native Americans is desirable)
- Two (2) years therapy experience
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrates understanding of age-related or specialty issues and developmental needs for each population served by adapting style, treatment and plan to each population
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, protocols, and the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Work independently under limited supervision, prioritizes work assignments
