Job Summary
Initiate comprehensive psychosocial assessments and provide individual, group, and family therapies to clients and their families. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment teams to develop strategies promoting therapeutic outcomes while assessing and intervening in cases of suspected neglect or abuse. Document services and coordinate discharge planning with community resources to ensure successful transitions. Diffuse psychotic and behavioral crises to maintain client, unit, and staff safety. This role supports Adventist HealthCare's mission of physical, mental, and spiritual healing within Shady Grove Medical Center. Full-time day shift position with weekend rotation and holiday requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work /Counseling or equivalent Master's Degree in a recognized health field
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical social work experience, preferably in medical or behavioral health settings
- Current licensure as LGSW/LMSW/LGPC in the State of Maryland or equivalent licensure
- Proficiency in conducting substance use assessments with ASAM criteria
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- COVID-19 Vaccination
- No nicotine use
- No marijuana use

- Experience facilitating group therapy with adults and/or adolescents
