Job Summary
Behavioral Health Technicians provide client supervision and support in a residential detox setting, assisting clinical staff to maintain client safety, document observations, administer and monitor medications and urine analyses, conduct intake assessments, perform vital signs, and facilitate groups and activities. The role requires strong communication, adherence to confidentiality, proficiency with EMR/EHR systems, and a solid understanding of the 12-step recovery philosophy (AA, CA, NA, Alanon). The position involves transporting clients to meetings and coordinating with the treatment team to ensure a positive client experience and program integrity.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid certification as a SUDRC (Substance Use Disorder Registered Counselor) or RADTI (Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Successful completion of Pre-Employment Requirements including a criminal background clearance, drug testing, and health screening
- Must be able to be insured on commercial auto policy
