Job Summary

Part-Time Behavioral Health Technician role providing one-to-one behavioral support and intervention for children/adolescents with developmental, intellectual, or behavioral health needs. Responsibilities include following treatment plans, implementing interventions, caregiver training and family support to stabilize and improve child and family outcomes, data collection and progress notes, monthly supervision, and collaboration with treatment team. Requires completion of mandated BHT training and orientation, prior or within 30 days of hire; HIPAA compliance; ability to work flexible hours including evenings; valid driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to travel within assigned Bucks/Montgomery Counties locations (Souderton, Telford, Harleysville, Greenlane, Lansdale, Hatfield, North Wales, Montgomeryville, Quakertown, Sellersville, Perkasie, Pottstown, Gilbertsville, Limerick, Royersford, Ambler, and surrounding areas); strong written/verbal communication; ability to maintain documentation, transfer skills to parents, and participate in team meetings; CASSP principles and compliance with relevant trainings; experience with children/adolescents and developmental disabilities preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., social work, psychology, special education) and completion of 40 hours of training the RBT Task List, evidenced by a certification of completion OR commitment to completing the 40-hour requirement within the first 30 days of hire
  • Associate degree in related human services field, or 60 credits toward degree and completed 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List, evidenced by a certification of completion OR commitment to completing the 40-hour requirement within the first 30 days of hire
  • High School diploma and completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List OR commitment to completion within the first 30 days of hire
  • Completion of ICF new hire orientation within the first 90 days of employment
  • Prior to working with families, 30 hours of BHT training (state mandated) for those who have not previously provided BHT services
  • Complete at least 24 hours of Department-approved training within the first 6 months of providing BHT services
  • Experienced BHTs to complete at least 20 hours of Department-approved annual training
  • Participation in required individual and group supervision, as well as program staff meetings
