Job Summary
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides individualized mental health interventions and support services to children and adolescents with psychiatric diagnoses in various community-based settings. The role involves participation in an interdisciplinary treatment team under the supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional, implementing specific treatment goals to enhance client functioning in the least restrictive environments. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or Equivalent, experience in behavioral health services, or relevant certifications. Candidates must be highly organized, possess strong communication skills, and be flexible in working independently.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and ability to complete 40+ hours of training
- Minimum of 2 years of experience of provision of behavioral health services
- Behavioral Health Certification or Behavior Analysis Certification from accredited organization
- Certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)
Additional Requirements
- Must possess reliable transportation
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have current automobile insurance coverage
