Job Summary
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides individualized mental health interventions and support services to children/adolescents with psychiatric diagnoses and their families in various community-based settings. The role requires participation in an interdisciplinary treatment team, implementing specific treatment goals, and strong communication skills. Candidates must meet one of several qualifications to apply, including having a high school diploma and completing training or having two years of experience in behavioral health services. The position requires reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and involves flexible hours up to 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and ability to complete 40+ hours of training
- Minimum of 2 years of experience of provision of behavioral health services
- Behavioral Health Certification or Behavior Analysis Certification from accredited organization
- Certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Valid driver's license and current auto insurance coverage
