Job Summary

The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for supervising all behavioral health technician job functions and providing work crews, organizing off-facility trips, and coordinating activities. Duties include assisting medical staff with self-medication, facilitating consumer trips, facilitating group sessions, and ensuring consumer safety and compliance with schedules. Applicants must possess a High School Diploma or GED, one year of experience in substance abuse treatment, and valid licensure to drive. Relevant certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Tuberculosis testing are also required.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One (1) year of experience in providing services in the field of substance abuse treatment
  • Valid drivers license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCares vehicle insurance
  • Ability to provide an Affidavit of Good Moral Character
  • Clearance in Pre-Employment Drug Testing and Criminal Records Checks

Desired Qualifications

  • CPR Certification
  • First Aid Certification
  • Annual Tuberculosis test
