Behavioral Health Technician

Job Summary
Provide compassionate support to residents with behavioral health challenges, ensuring safety and well-being at all times. Duties include supervising medication procedures with proper narcotics accounting, documenting daily chart updates, preparing and serving meals per facility menus, completing chore sheets, and upholding residents’ dignity and respect. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, empathy, patience, and knowledge of crisis intervention and safety procedures to help residents achieve stability and improved well-being. Work includes a 12-hour daytime shift on a rotating schedule with PRN call-outs in a full-time role within The Wood Group facilities in Wichita Falls, TX.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in behavioral health or related field preferred
- Prior experience in mental health, behavioral health, or social services is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices, safety protocols, and crisis intervention techniques
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
