Job Summary

Monitor and supervise youth in a crisis setting to ensure safety and well-being while cooking and serving meals according to the facility menu. Complete items on the daily chore sheet, maintain a safe and clean environment, and perform daily chart documentation. Ensure all residents are treated with dignity and respect while adhering to facility policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards. Work every other weekends as part of the rotating schedule. The Wood Group provides behavioral health services to the Mental Health Community of Texas since 1980, partnering with local agencies to support individuals with severe mental illness in their return to productive daily living.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Able to work every other weekend
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
  • Basic knowledge of crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques

Desired Qualifications

  • Additional training in mental health or behavioral support
  • Prior experience working with youth or in a mental health setting
