Job Summary
Monitor patient well-being, facilitate daily routines, and assist clinical teams in delivering compassionate care while enforcing facility program rules and ensuring compliance. Address problem behaviors through verbal de-escalation, communicate patient status with supervisors, and maintain accurate, secure clinical documentation. Assist nurses with intake, vital signs, and patient transportation; provide holistic activities like yoga or meditation based on certification. Work effectively with diverse personalities, accept constructive feedback, and maintain healthy boundaries. During state emergencies, ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained onsite.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Good driving record that meets safety and company insurance standards
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree and minimum one (1) year experience in BHT or similar patient care role
- In lieu of Associate's degree, minimum two (2) years' experience in BHT or similar patient care role
- Experience working with adult patients (18+)
- Prior experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or human services in roles with emphasis involving direct customer or client service experience
- CPR and Standard First Aid certification or in process of obtaining
