Job Summary
Collaborate with the clinical team to manage the daily milieu, ensuring client safety and maintaining a therapeutic environment. Actively engage clients in group and individual activities, prompting completion of ADLs, hygiene checks, and structured mealtimes. Conduct drug screenings, pregnancy tests, and breathalyzer checks as necessary, while transporting clients to appointments and outings using company vehicles. Therapeutically interact with clients to recognize behavioral cues, identify triggers for escalation, and utilize de-escalation techniques to prevent crises. Document all services, incident reports, and shift notes accurately, and support client admissions, medication compliance, and discharge processes. Greet guests warmly and answer field calls with a positive customer service focus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year experience working with clients with substance abuse and/or mental health issues
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- A valid Driver's license
- A generally clean driving record
- Clearance of TB test
- Fingerprinting clearance
- State clearance
- Any other mandatory state/federal requirements
- Legally able to operate a motor vehicle
Desired Qualifications
- Drug and alcohol certification
- Willingness to complete requirements within the orientation period
- Willingness to complete CPR and First Aid Certification within the first 30 days of employment
- Commitment to maintain continuing education requirements for certification
