Job Summary
Behavioral Health Technician at Recovery in Motion, part of a multidisciplinary team providing substance use disorder treatment. Responsibilities include setting priorities for monitoring clients, performing house rounds, completing intake/orientation procedures, administering client medications and documenting, maintaining program knowledge and calendars, assisting with transportation for appointments, intake, and discharge, helping with food preparation and program cleaning, ensuring client safety and confidentiality, and participating in rotational schedules (shifts, weekends, holidays). The role emphasizes proper documentation, adherence to policies, and positive client interactions, with required qualifications including 18+ years old, a HS diploma or GED, background study, knowledge of Minnesota statutes (245G/245A/260E/626.557), CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain, valid MN driver’s license, and Proficient MS Office skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Complete background study
- Know and understand the implications of Minnesota Statutes, sections 245G.01 through 245G.22, 245A.65, 260E, 626.557, and 626.5572 and willingness to understand, learn, and carry out regulations with integrity
- CPR and First Aid certified, or willing to become certified within 30 days of employment
- Must have a valid MN driver’s license
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in human services and/or healthcare environment
- Direct client care experience with chemical dependency treatment and rehabilitation.
