Job Summary
Assist in luggage and body searches, monitor Book Studies and Recovery meetings, and circulate hourly to document patient locations. Enforce the Bradford Program Schedule, supervise patient activities, and ensure evening room occupancy. Oversee medication lines to prevent diversion, assist patients with mobility for meals and appointments, and drive patients to outings or purchase sundries. Engage in appropriate documentation, support counselors, and redirect behavior while maintaining a professional demeanor. Work weekends from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM as a PRN technician.
Required Qualifications
- ability to communicate effectively
- basic understanding of the principles of chemical dependency recovery
- valid driver's license
- good driving record
- ability to walk within the facility and on the grounds of the facility for approximately one (1) mile per every eight (8) hour shift
- ability to continuously sit for approximately three (3) hours per eight (8) hour shift
- CPR certification
- ability to see and hear constantly
- ability to be emotionally and physically capable of functioning under stressful situations
- ability to stand continuously in increments of 45 minutes to one (1) hour
- If recovering, two years of continuous verifiable abstinence
- Regular attendance
- Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness
- Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with co-workers, managers, clients, and prospective clients
- Must maintain a professional demeanor and appearance
Desired Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Behavioral Science, CRC, or CRSS
- One year experience in alcohol/drug treatment with direct patient contact
