Job Summary
A Behavioral Health Technician provides direct support and care to individuals with mental health, behavioral, or substance use disorders. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient behavior, leading therapeutic activities, de-escalating crises, and providing emotional support. Strong communication, patience, and empathy are essential. The position requires a High School Graduate or equivalent, current BLS certification, and completion of CPI training within one month of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training course (CPI) required within 1 month of hire date
Desired Qualifications
- Previous Behavioral Health experience preferred
