Job Summary
Behavioral Health Technician at Northstar Behavioral Health Network supports medication administration, client transport to appointments and programming activities, documentation in client files and logs, intake/orientation assistance, and functioning as a positive role model to clients. Responsibilities include maintaining knowledge of program philosophy and policies, assisting in coordinating with counselors, encouraging clients toward goals, participating in recreational activities, and performing clerical tasks (faxing, copying, updating Excel/Word). The role requires reliable, independent work, adherence to attendance policies, and willingness to work rotational/off-shift schedules. Requirements include a valid MN driver’s license with acceptable driving record, CPR/First Aid certification (or within 30 days), ability to pass a background check, knowledge of MN statutes relevant to NBHN services, alignment with NBH Drug and Alcohol Policy, minimum age 18, and proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
- CPR/First Aid Certification or attain within 30 days of employment
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Knowledge of all MN Statutes related to providing services for the population NBHN serves, and willingness to learn, understand, and carry out regulations with integrity
- Must understand and follow NBH's Drug and Alcohol Policy
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge in MS Office, and Google Suite programs
