Job Summary
Conduct patient supervision and lead structured activities during breaks and mealtimes while maintaining a safe therapeutic environment. Observe and report changes in patient behaviors, physical symptoms, and mental health status to the clinical team. Provide one-to-one supervision for patients requiring increased observation and model engagement in eating per dietary philosophy. Escort patients to restrooms and safely transport staff and patients on recreational and therapeutic outings. Assist licensed providers in creating a therapeutic milieu, facilitate DBT skills practice, and conduct nutrition-based educational groups. Complete patient rounds and document progress as determined by the clinical team. Work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, including Friday through Sunday shifts from 6pm to 7am.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's level degree in Psychology, Social Work, Dietetics or related field, or relevant work experience
- Must possess a valid WA state driver's license
- Must successfully pass THIRA's Driver Assessment
- Demonstrated competency in the use of Microsoft Office
- Ability to use various software programs
- Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background check (Federal and state)
- Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends & holidays as needed
- Must possess current and active Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration (AAC credentials)
- Ability to obtain AAC credentials within initial 30 days of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior work experience in clinical/therapeutic settings
- Work experience with eating disorders, trauma, chemical dependency, mood disorders, and/or anxiety disorders
- Prior work experience in food service setting or related field
- Experience working in PHP, IOP, residential or IPU environment
- Crisis management experience
- Experience and literacy with medical practice software & EMR
