Job Summary
Conduct clinical assessments, monitor patient behavior, and provide direct care including support with daily living activities and therapeutic interventions for individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Implement crisis intervention techniques to manage and de-escalate behavioral emergencies effectively while ensuring a safe environment by adhering to established protocols. Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes and incident reports, to support continuity of care and discharge planning. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and execute individualized discharge plans, applying specialized care strategies for patients with Severe Emotional Disturbance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification or training in behavioral health, mental health, or a related discipline
- Experience in clinical documentation and patient care within a behavioral health setting
- Knowledge of crisis management and intervention techniques
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a related field
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, nursing, or a related field
- Previous experience working with children or adults with Severe Emotional Disturbance (SED)
- Training or certification in CPR and first aid
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
