Job Summary
Behavioral Health Technician (Full-time Day) supports residential and inpatient milieu by facilitating therapeutic activity groups, assisting clients in acquiring skills to manage eating disorders, and maintaining a recovery-oriented environment. Works with a multi-disciplinary team on care plans, assists in admissions, supports programming, participates in therapeutic meals and structured outings, and documents observations in charts. Responsibilities include engaging residents, monitoring bathroom use and exercise, enforcing policies, and completing hourly room-checks. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or healthcare-related experience and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related field (or credential/licensure) are preferred. Valid driver’s license is required. Schedule: 32 hours/week (1st shift 6:00 am–2:30 pm) with rotating weekends/holidays. Compensation ranges from $18.00–$22.00 per hour depending on qualifications, with comprehensive benefits for full-time staff.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree or higher or at least 2 years of healthcare experience in a similar position/ related field preferred
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or a related field; a relevant certification or licensure preferred
- Must have valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive
- Previous direct mental health experience preferred
