Job Summary
Engage clients in milieu and group activities, prompting completion of ADLs, hygiene checks, and timely meals while maintaining therapeutic boundaries. Therapeutically interact in one-on-one and group settings to recognize behavioral cues, modify approaches for mood changes, and utilize de-escalation techniques to prevent crises. Document services, incident reports, and shift notes accurately; conduct client belonging searches and chart audits. Transport clients to appointments and support medication compliance and self-administration. Recognize triggers for escalation and actively participate in discharge processes as needed. Adhere to all facility policies, attend required supervisory trainings, and adapt to changes in facility routines.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- vehicle insurance
- acceptable driving record
- Clearance of criminal background
- TB test
- any other mandatory state/federal requirements
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- willingness to complete CPR and First Aid Certification within the first 30 days of employment
- minimum of 1 year experience in a behavioral healthcare setting
